About the role
Engineering Manager responsible for leading engineering, maintenance, and tool room functions to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee process optimization, equipment maintenance, stamping die management, and execution of capital projects.
- Lead and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and tool room staff, ensuring safety and operational standards.
- Manage capital budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines from conception to implementation.
- Serve as the technical expert for industrial controls, automation, and robotic systems, driving continuous improvement.
- Supervise design, troubleshooting, and development of stamping dies and automation processes.
- Oversee the Tool Room, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment capabilities.
- Plan and direct preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Communicate project progress, analyze complex problems, and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in industrial engineering, process optimization, and project management, preferably in metal stamping.
- Knowledge of industrial controls, PLCs (Allen Bradley), FANUC robots, and CAD (SolidWorks), CNC programming (Mastercam).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and safety regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, analyze problems, and implement innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and preventative maintenance software.
