Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Head of Engineering, Switchgear to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting custom-engineered electrical products. Key responsibilities include: leading and developing engineers and designers, overseeing engineering execution to ensure timely delivery and quality, providing technical oversight for switchgears and control panels, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering priorities, establish best practices, support new product development, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and resolve complex technical issues. Oversee testing, validation, customer engagements, resource allocation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Track key performance metrics and foster a high-performance, engaged organizational culture. Qualifications: Bachelor's in electrical engineering, P.Eng. certification preferred, 10+ years of experience in switchgear and power distribution, with 7+ years of leadership in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments. Deep knowledge of industry standards (e.g., UL, CSA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC), familiarity with CAD, ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to travel up to 10%, and authorized to work in Canada.
