Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of exceptional engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to help them succeed and thrive.
- Deeply understand customer needs and pain points to prioritize work and deliver solutions that drive real impact.
- Own project execution end-to-end — planning, architecture, and delivery — while maintaining high quality and predictable timelines.
- Collaborate with high-visibility teams and stakeholders to drive critical product and platform initiatives forward.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, from system architecture and design to incident response and roadmap definition.
- Work every day with founders to shape and execute on the long-term vision for Replo's AI platform.
- Partner with our Chief of Staff to attract top-tier engineering talent and define hiring strategies as the team scales.
Requirements
- Has a CS degree (or equivalent)
- Can be in office 3-4 days/week in San Francisco
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- At least 2+ years of tech lead/engineering management experience
- Experience leading projects on a cross-team or company-wide scale
- Uses Cursor/Windsurf/GPT to accelerate their work
- Built products 0 -> 1 with real users and revenue
- Is OK operating independently without product/design
- Always SHIPS. We don't spend weeks planning features at Replo
- Has a product and customer-focused mindset
- Values writing clean, maintainable software, including documentation (e.g. the code needs to be correct and run fast, but we’re the ones that have to read it and understand it)
- Is comfortable with ambiguity and defining software architecture patterns to solve customer pain points
Qualifications
- Experiencing managing teams in a people/technical capacity
- Enjoy attending hackathons
- Worked at an early-stage (Series A or earlier) startup previously
- Not wasted hours interview-prepping on Leetcode
- An eye for visual design (or past experience in product design, Figma, etc.)
