Engineering Manager

About the role

Well established and growing aerospace and defense manufacturer with a team that cares about their people is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead their Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management functions.

What You'll Do

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management teams
• Translate program requirements into manufacturing plans that meet cost, quality, schedule, and compliance goals
• Serve as the primary engineering interface to Program Management
• Lead engineering execution for New Product Introduction (NPI), including gate reviews and production readiness
• Drive tooling, automation, and process improvement initiatives
• Own configuration management, change control, and audit support
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and technical staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace, or related)
• 12+ years progressive experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
• Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, FAI, and configuration management
• Track record leading NPI and manufacturing process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Automation/robotics experience
• Defense program experience

Pay

$140,000 - $165,000 /yr
