Key Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team, creating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Scale the engineering organization to meet business needs while ensuring strong talent development and retention.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based leaders, product, and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and drive business impact.
- Provide guidance on architecture, system design, and best practices as we transition from monolith to microservices and serverless platforms.
- Ensure timely, high-quality, and reliable delivery of initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Champion practices such as AI-Driven development, spec or harness led development methods, CI/CD, observability, secure coding, and test-driven development to raise the technical bar.
- Encourage experimentation and adopt modern technologies that improve scalability, performance, and developer productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in an engineering management role.
- Proven ability to build, grow, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience guiding teams through platform transformations (e.g., monolith to microservices, cloud/serverless adoption).
- Strong background in backend systems using Python; exposure to frontend frameworks (React/Angular) a plus.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway) and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and modern DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of computer vision based applications, use of VLM technologies is helpful.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
- Passion for mentoring and developing future leaders.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
