Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager who is enjoyable to work with and can bring the competency, ownership, and leadership needed to help our growing $20 million company keep up with rapidly rising demand. At Advance CNC Machining, we specialize in producing high-precision machined parts for customers across industries including equipment manufacturers, food, drug, aerospace, and defense.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
• Lead performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
• Optimize engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
• Troubleshoot design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
• Own the Engineering group’s performance indicators and budget

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering
• Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes
• Experience leading and mentoring direct reports, including excellent communication and accountability skills
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges
• Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews
• Mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience and fluency
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is preferred

$130,000 DOE
