Engineering Manager Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineering Manager Assistant supports the engineering manager by coordinating technical documentation, assisting with project planning, performing basic analyses, and ensuring smooth communication across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Support — Assist engineering manager with data collection, basic calculations, drafting, and preparation of engineering documents and reports.
• Documentation Management — Maintain drawings, specifications, change orders, and project files to ensure accuracy and version control.
• Project Coordination — Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones; support scheduling and resource planning.
• Quality & Compliance — Help ensure engineering work aligns with internal standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Process Improvement — Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve documentation practices, and enhance team efficiency.
• Administrative Support — Prepare meeting notes, organize technical presentations, and assist with procurement or inventory tracking as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic engineering software (e.g., CAD viewers, project management tools)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related manufacturing field

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within aerospace or a highly regulated industry
• Experience supporting production environments and process improvement efforts
• Exposure to project-based work or cross-functional initiatives preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequency: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Duration: 3+ months (This is a contract role that can extend longer)
• Start: ASAP after onboarding
• U.S. Person required
• Pay range: $28/hr-$30/hr
