Engineering Leadership Development Internship Program – Summer 2027

About the role

Join Pentair’s 12-week Leadership Development Internship Program and gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact. You’ll contribute to real-world, strategic business projects that support Pentair’s mission of a more sustainable future. At the end of the program, you’ll present your project objectives, processes, and results to leadership.

As part of a professional cohort, you’ll participate in mentorship, networking opportunities, executive speaker sessions, a team case competition, and Pentair’s signature Intern Summit. This program is designed to help you build skills, expand your network, and explore potential career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a strategic business project with real-world impact over the 12-week internship.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals and fellow interns on meaningful work.
• Present project outcomes, including objectives, processes, and results, to Pentair leadership at the program’s conclusion.
• Participate in professional development activities, including mentorship, networking events, executive speaker sessions, and a team case competition.
• Attend Pentair’s Intern Summit, bringing together interns from across the company for learning, development, and connection.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Currently enrolled as a junior (preferred graduation date: Spring 2028).
• Willing to work during the summer in one of Pentair’s internship locations: New Brighton – MN, White Bear Lake - MN, Hanover Park – IL, North Aurora – IL, Apex – NC, Sanford – NC, Bishop Woods – WI, Delavan – WI, or Manitowoc - WI.
• Strong interest in pursuing Pentair’s Engineering Leadership Development Program, a three-year rotational program requiring relocation and work across the United States.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

This position pays an hourly rate of $34.00 per hour. Interns work approximately 40 hours each week during the internship.

Schedule

12-week internship program with two start date options:

• Session 1: Late May – Early August 2027
• Session 2: Early June – Mid-August 2027
