Engineering Leader, New Business Technology
About the role
In this key role within our Commercial Insurance division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology landscape. You’ll drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our engineering and platform initiatives, collaborating with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to set measurable goals, lead the design of future-state platform roadmaps, and drive the execution of technology initiatives that align with our digital transformation agenda.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision and strategy for architecture, platform, and software engineering, aligning with business goals and digital transformation priorities
- Lead the design and execution of technology roadmaps, driving the adoption of emerging technologies and modern engineering practices
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex systems, ensuring quality, stability, and operational excellence
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business leaders, connecting business needs with practical and innovative engineering solutions
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of focus, agility, and collaboration
- Promote continuous improvement, compliance with technology standards, and a strong bench of future technology leaders
- Facilitate decision-making, prioritize initiatives, and manage stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels
Requirements
- Minimum of 12+ years’ experience in quality engineering in both a hands-on and leadership capacity
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline; Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline preferred
- Extensive experience in technology consulting, digital transformation, or insurance/financial services technology leadership
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technology initiatives and stakeholder relationships at the executive level
- Deep understanding of insurance technology trends, ecosystems, and best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional team management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth strategies and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Experience with leveraging AI capabilities, tools, and practices as a function of current and/or past roles preferred

Benefits
The pay range for the role is $160,000 to $190,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
