About the role

Covestro seeks dynamic individuals ready to help shape the future by confronting new challenges, embracing new experiences, and taking on increasing responsibilities. As an Engineering Intern within Covestro, incumbents will be responsible for a wide range of engineering activities to support day-to-day operations, and to improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of our production units and our work processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operational and maintenance needs
• Use proven methodologies to eliminate defects
• Improve reliability
• Optimize processes
• Develop capital projects

Requirements

Candidates must be available for a 3-month assignment during the Summer of 2027 (late May to early August).

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with a major in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Completion of Freshman year
• Overall GPA of 3.0

Desire to work and learn in an operating chemical plant

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of and abilities to work in Engineering typically acquired by: Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with a major in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Completion of Freshman year
• Overall GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or co-op experience
