Engineering Internship - Building Automation Systems

About the role

Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for a variety of data center campuses throughout the nation. As a summer 2027 student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex engineering-driven projects being built today.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with designing building automation systems and electrical power monitoring systems for data centers
• Work on projects ranging from high-level conceptual designs, detailed site designs and retrofits, factory witness testing of equipment, and construction administration and verification
• Assist with tasks including the Building Management System (BMS) design, specifications, and drawings
• Depending on the projects, may have the opportunity to travel to job sites

• Pursuing a degree in electrical, mechanical or architectural engineering
• Previous experience in Revit is desired, but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail
