Engineering Intern - Water/Wastewater

About the role

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a limited-term, part-time engineering intern to join our South Central One Water department. The internship runs from May/June 2027 through August/September 2027 at 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting engineers with the delivery of projects
• Conducting research
• Compiling and analyzing data
• Drafting technical reports
• Communicating with equipment vendors
• Reviewing construction documents
• Visiting construction sites

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Completed at least two semesters (four semesters preferred) of college-level coursework in civil, environmental, chemical engineering, or a closely related field

Qualifications

• Civil or Environmental engineering coursework
• Microsoft Office software experience
• AutoCAD or other design software experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Schedule

• 30+ hours per week
• May/June 2027 – August/September 2027 (limited-term)
