Engineering Intern I

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, services, and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry. A subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd — a publicly traded industrial manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, Japan — we operate design, production, and test facilities in the United States and Japan, with sales offices in Las Vegas, Houston, London, and Tokyo.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets.
• Utilize engineering software (CAD/SolidWorks/etc.) to prepare drawings for designed parts and complete manufacturing drawings as applicable.
• Participate in engineering analysis of mechanical components using Ansys or similar analytical software.
• Create and update drawings.
• Perform simple design analysis.
• Assist multiple engineers with daily tasks.
• Support larger projects through unique assignments.
• Additional activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior class standing, enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or recently graduated with a BS in Engineering or BS in Computer Science.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. The role requires regular communication (talking or hearing) and close vision with the ability to adjust focus. Physical tasks may include lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
