Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Assists with validating new equipment sets and technologies and defines working procedures for manufacturing associates.
- Performs 3D jewelry scanning, 3D printing, fixturing assembly and programming of laser system to support manufacturing initiatives.
- Helps review safety features and aspects of new equipment sets and technologies and collaborates with the training department on creating training documentation.
- Observes and notes recommendations for continuous improvements that could enhance quality, efficiency and review collected data with Team Mentor or Leader.
- Performs engineering time studies using basic statistics following established procedure.
- Reviews routings and work instructions for assigned product designs prior to data collection.
- Participates in periodic continuous improvement meetings with other engineers and manufacturing management.
- Performs additional duties and works on various engineering projects as assigned by Team Mentor or Leader.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field with an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade point scale.
- Must have a valid State Driver's License and be able to meet James Avery’s driving requirements.
- Intermediate CAD experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions.
- Able to work a flexible schedule when business need requires.
- Able to travel to other work locations as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced CAD experience.
- CAD experience with Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
- Experience with mesh bodies and surfacing.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to interpret technical drawings, use precision tools and diagnose mechanical issues.
