About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern at PlayCore supports the company's mission and values by applying methods analysis and work measurement time studies. PlayCore develops play and recreation products and programs tailored to the unique needs of each community they serve.
Responsibilities
- Supports industrial and manufacturing processes
- Applies methods analysis and work measurement time studies
- Works under moderate supervision
- Contributes to the development of play and recreation products and programs
Qualifications
- Junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Management from an accredited engineering school
- Basic knowledge of Lean principles
- Strong initiative, interpersonal, and team skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure
- Solid analytical skills
Reasoning Abilities
- Solve practical problems
- Deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Interpret written, oral, diagrams, or schedules
- Interpret a variety of instructions
- Interpret written and oral communication
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint software
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting
- Occasional standing, walking, reaching above shoulders, lifting up to 25 pounds
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Quiet in the office setting
- Noisy in the manufacturing environment
- Climates can vary and require personal protective equipment (PPE)
