Engineering Intern

About the role

The Engineering Intern at Nefab Packaging West is a vital member of the Engineering organization, contributing to the delivery of customized packaging solutions to customers. This position is based in Newark, CA.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training
• Weekly progress updates with Engineering
• Conducting research and assisting Engineering
• Learning Nefab Design Processes and Engineering Tools
• Supporting Test Lab operations
• Supporting Design/Sample making
• Serving as support for production
• Contributing to R&D initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of schooling towards a Bachelor’s degree
• Hands-on, energetic, customer-oriented, creative, open-minded, and resourceful
• Able to follow detailed instructions and have attention to detail
• Knowledge of 3D/2D software (IronCad/Solid Works, AutoCad/Artios)
• Basic knowledge of packaging dynamics is advantageous

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial design, packaging technology or similar engineering background
• Specialization degree in packaging is a plus

Pay

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

Schedule

Duration of the Engineering Intern program is (minimum) three months.
