Engineering Intern - 1373
About the role
This is an hourly, non-exempt entry-level Engineering Department Intern position. Job duties will include but not limited to preparation of engineering drawings to support company projects and maintenance and care of the department’s 3D printer. Job duties will vary each day and will encompass projects as designated by the Engineering Program Manager. The person in this position will be required to work independently at times and to be involved in multiple projects at the same time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings to support company projects
- Maintain the departmental 3D printer
- Work independently on projects as assigned
- Assist Team Leaders and technicians in support of programs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year completed in Engineering or related technical course work
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks or related CAD software experience preferable (including CAD coursework)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair helpful

- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $18 - $20. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance.
Schedule
Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
