About The Job

As an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager, you will enable high performance of the supply chain facility by fostering a reliability-centered maintenance culture. Your leadership will ensure high equipment availability and operational success.

  • Provide strong leadership to Maintenance Technicians, Utility Attendants, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Software Technicians
  • Cultivate a sense of urgency and quality focus within your team
  • Deliver solutions for challenging problems and optimize material handling equipment
  • Manage external contractors and handle multiple projects and daily activities under tight timelines
  • Develop a continuous improvement ethic through data-driven processes focused on root cause elimination
  • Improve system reliability through defect handling, breakdown elimination, and planning and scheduling
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve engineering and maintenance goals
  • Lead, develop, coach, and manage team performance, providing frequent feedback and guidance
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and capability enhancement for new and existing team members
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics and communicate shift hand-offs for continuity
  • Develop emergency repair plans for critical assets and oversee escalation during downtime incidents
  • Act as a safety ambassador, promoting safe working practices and eliminating hazards
  • Ensure team adherence to safety procedures (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash) and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Conduct safety investigations and incident after-action reviews to determine root causes
  • [F&B Only] Execute sanitation and maintenance standards supporting industrial ammonia refrigeration health
  • Manage the overall health, reliability, and life cycle of site commodities (material handling equipment, lighting, power distribution, backup generators, fire suppression systems, balers, compactors, compressors, dock doors, HVAC, OTR trailer fleet, Powered Industrial Truck fleet)
  • Approve financial expenditures for parts within corporate guidelines
  • Validate the quality of work performed by external contractors
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to Asset Management standards

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous supervisory experience in a team-oriented environment
  • [F&B Only] Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate policies and procedures effectively
  • Experience managing, leading, and influencing teams while prioritizing multiple projects
  • Experience with multi-contractor management
