About the role
The Engineering Director, Firmware will lead the development and delivery of high-quality firmware solutions for our cutting-edge products. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role is responsible for overseeing firmware engineering teams, ensuring product quality, and driving innovation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee firmware engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
- Drive innovation in firmware development through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, working closely with product management and engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to support firmware integration and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in firmware development, including leadership roles.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality firmware solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Experience leading firmware engineering teams and managing projects from concept to launch.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations applicable to firmware development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with multiple programming languages and tools used in firmware development.
- Knowledge of hardware design principles and how they impact firmware implementation.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay
$200,000 - $250,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
