Engineering Director, Core

Responsibilities

• Set a clear technical roadmap and communicate it across the organization
• Manage and develop engineering managers and senior engineers
• Drive complex, multi-team initiatives from design to delivery
• Ensure system reliability and performance with strong operational practices
• Collaborate with product and design teams to align technical and business goals
• Integrate emerging tools and AI-assisted development into team workflows
• Foster a high-trust engineering culture and act as a mentor

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering managers or multiple teams
• Significant hands-on experience with distributed systems or high-scale infrastructure
• Proven track record owning a major technical migration or infrastructure initiative end-to-end
• Comfortable operating across cloud infrastructure and production distributed systems
• Strong track record of hiring and developing engineering talent
