Engineering Director
About the role
We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our project management and engineering teams while helping strengthen client relationships. This strategic role combines technical leadership with a forward-thinking approach to business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8–12 professionals
- Ensure projects launch smoothly
- Support client engagement to help secure new opportunities
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Operations Coordinators
- Oversee project execution from planning through delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Manage licensing and compliance for multi-state projects, including GC licensing
- Support structural engineering needs and facility integration projects
- Collaborate with leadership on business development, risk management, and long-term strategy
- Engage with clients as needed to help secure new opportunities and strengthen relationships
- Drive process improvements and forward-thinking solutions to enhance efficiency and growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams
- Strong communicator with an outgoing, relationship-focused leadership style and basic sales skills
- Strong understanding of construction and structural engineering principles
- Able to navigate multi-state licensing requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT preferred
