Engineering Director and Value Stream Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Director-level Engineering and Value Stream Lead for our Payment Integrity and Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) Value Stream. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong focus on continuous improvement, capable of leading cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our value delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead large and complex value streams, aligning activities across teams and working toward common business outcomes
• Foster collaborative relationships across other Value Streams, business areas, and with key partners, influencing executive-level leadership
• Establish and support a technology ecosystem for your Value Streams, staying ahead of disruptive forces and bringing innovative solutions to our toughest business challenges
• Define a vision and strategy for your Value Streams, continuously identifying opportunities to adapt and improve
• Partner with Senior Business Leaders to effectively define, plan, and deliver technical solutions that support Business outcomes
• Drive 'speed to value' by identifying and deploying agile processes in partnership with business owners
• Support the prioritization of backlogs, addressing risks and dependencies to defined outcomes and ensuring overall alignment with technology and business strategy
• Make key trade-off decisions to balance quality, cost, and timelines to maximize value; utilize and adhere to technology standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the Health Plan and/or Payor industry specifically in the Payment Integrity space
• Ability to develop and leverage business and/or vendor partnerships, consult on business priorities, and optimize value through solution identification aligned with business objectives
• Experienced in an Agile/execution leadership role delivering technology solutions on a demanding schedule
• Six years of people leadership/management experience
• Strong technical skills and a deep strategic mindset
• Must be able to assess commercial AI solutions and recommend "build" AI opportunities for the Payment Integrity and Fraud Waste and Abuse Value Stream
• Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data

• High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
