About the Role

Standex International is a global industrial growth company operating through market-leading brands in electronics, cutting-edge forming technologies, engraving, and scientific refrigeration. We collaborate with customers to advance progress through innovation—from inventing parts for next-generation space vehicles to evolving vaccine refrigeration, designing functional textures, improving renewable energy technology, and more. This Electrical Engineering Co-op will support the Engineering department in developing and producing magnetic products, with a focus on transformers and inductors. The role provides exposure to technology, test processes, and the manufacturing environment at Standex Electronics, aiding in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basics of transformer and inductor design.
• Review customer inputs, generate design outputs, and perform component verification.
• Assist with prototyping activities, complete bill of materials, and engineering drawings designs under supervision.
• Perform hands-on testing, modeling, and analysis.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to collectively create or enhance tools for improved design accuracy.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with testing equipment (Oscilloscope, LCR, DMM, PSU).
• Experience with SPICE and soldering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (EE, EET, or ME).
