Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2027

About the Role

The co-op student will work on job assignments related to their functional engineering discipline. These increasingly challenging assignments provide an effective learning experience and intellectual or financial return for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic principles to hands-on engineering tasks, such as equipment and facilities design and improvement.
• Accomplish performance goals with progressive responsibility in facilities engineering throughout the co-op experience.
• Identify and recommend equipment improvements for specified projects.
• Attend regular departmental meetings, training sessions, symposia, and other educational opportunities.
• Perform or review procedures and documentation for existing maintenance tasks.
• Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
• Participate on project teams; analyze improvements, new equipment, or applications, and develop requirements and specifications.
• Work within provided specifications to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new equipment development, upgrades, and energy conservation opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Preferred grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Skills

• Knowledge of related engineering discipline functional and technical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and SolidWorks.
• Good writing and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

Co-op will spend 50%-60% of their time in the manufacturing plant. Minimal travel may be required.

Pay

$25/hour for 40 hours per week.
