Engineering Co-Op

About the role

Performance Health is seeking an Engineer Co‑Op to join the Manufacturing team in Akron, OH. The Engineering Co‑Op will work on projects related to the quality and process design improvements of products. The co‑op runs Spring 2027, full‑time (40 hours per week) with opportunity for extension through summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in validation updates
• Assist in Extrusion and Automation projects
• Update product engineering records to include proper documentation for registrations
• Participate in and assist with the coordination of elements of investigations regarding customer complaints
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems
• Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed
• Manufacturing projects to eliminate waste and deliver cost savings
• Quality and Regulatory projects to ensure process and products are in compliance with customer, internal, and governmental standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled full‑time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university
• Major in an Engineering discipline (Chemical; Mechanical; Polymer Science; Biomedical; Mechanical Engineering Technology)
• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
• Proficiency with analysis/reporting tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Hourly pay rate: $20.00
