Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Two years of relevant experience
- Relevant water / wastewater experience, internship, co-op, or research experience preferred
- Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required, along with two years of relevant experience. Relevant water / wastewater experience, internship, co-op, or research experience is preferred. Engineering Intern (EI) certification is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required.
Skills
Basic engineering computations, design, layout, modeling, CAD, and engineering report writing skills are necessary. The ability to prepare design drawings, plans, specifications, supporting documents, permit applications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates is also required. Attending client meetings and visiting construction sites to assist in monitoring progress is part of the typical responsibilities.
