Your Opportunity + Impact
As an Engineering Associate, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside licensed engineers while building the technical foundation needed to advance toward your Professional Engineer (PE) license. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects through design, documentation, and field support. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects, expand your technical skillset, and begin a clear path toward becoming a licensed professional.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and reviews design computations, plan designs, and drawings.
- Reviews submittals and coordinates project submissions.
- Prepares and reviews specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports.
- Completes inspections and field work assignments as needed.
- Researches, reviews, interprets, and understands written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and applies them to design projects.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of work and project records.
- Possesses knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to project designs.
- Develops technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.
- Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
- Performs work within assigned budgets.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in position relevant Engineering field from ABET accredited school.
- No previous relevant work experience is required. Prior internships in the A/E industry is preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the engineering field.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software Packages to be used for Site Layout, Grading, Utility, and Storm Water Management Plan design and/or other discipline-specific programs preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
