About the role
As Engineering and Facilities Manager at our Cincinnati Bakery, you will be a vital member of our Plant Leadership team. Provide technical expertise and management around capital projects, construction projects, facility maintenance, and more. By driving our improvement culture with our Kellanova Work Systems (KWS) model, you contribute to our growth and success. We make our crackers with passion and flavor—from Townhouse to Club Crackers and others—collaborating to deliver innovative outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and direct continuous technical improvement of the facility, equipment, and production systems. Ensure effective execution of projects by meeting program objectives, project budgets, and schedules. Collaborate with corporate engineering, contracted service partners, plant operations, and quality teams.
- Strategy & Scorecards: Partner with global engineering to deploy corporate technical business strategies aligned with plant strategies and performance goals. Lead capital project plans for 5 years with plant and business unit alignment. Gather project requests from each functional area (Quality & Food Safety, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Maintenance, Operations, CLS, Security, etc.) and prioritize/evaluate timing and scope.
- Budget Management: Manage, prepare, and justify expenses and capital budgets for the Engineering & Facilities department with an owner’s mindset.
- Lead Sustainability: Partner cross-functionally with EHS on Sustainability metrics and define both capital and expense projects. Serve as the single point of contact for plant sustainability program targets and metrics. Lead regulatory compliance for sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or significant experience in a related area.
- Comprehensive managerial and technical background in a related field or role.
- Project management, communication, budgeting, and excellent human relations skills.
- Management experience in a technical capacity.
- Knowledgeable in all state and appropriate utilities operations.
- Experience with Allen Bradley software is a bonus.
- Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States (Kellanova does not sponsor employment visas for this role).
Pay
The annual salary range is $133,500 - $175,200, based on factors such as location, experience, and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
