About the role
Support the operation, maintenance, and upgrades of high-power RF systems at a scientific facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair RF and electrical equipment
- Assist in designing new systems and upgrades
- Provide on-call support during off-hours and weekends
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience (Level 3) or 5+ years (Level 4); additional training may be required
- Experience with electronic test tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters)
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Prototyping and wiring of electronic chassis
- Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency with CAD software
Preferred Skills
- RF test equipment
- High-voltage/high-power systems
- Circuit simulation
- Operations of cooling systems
- Experience with RF amplifiers
