About the role
Support high-power RF systems at a research facility in Los Alamos, NM. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and commission high-power RF equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair RF and electrical systems.
- Assist in designing system upgrades and new equipment.
- Provide on-call support during off-hours and weekends.
Requirements
- Experience with electronic test tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- Prototyping electronic chassis, mechanical and wiring tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency with CAD software for schematics.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with RF test equipment.
- Experience with high-voltage/high-power systems, pulsed power, RF systems, circuit simulation, and cooling systems.
Qualifications
- Engineered Systems Technician 3: Associate’s Degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Engineered Systems Technician 4: Associate’s Degree plus 5 years of experience, with potential additional training.
