About The Role We're seeking a self-motivated technician specializing in service and maintenance of engineered suppression systems. The work includes installing systems and may also involve some work on fire suppression systems, as well as low voltage electrical systems. You'll use power tools, ladders, aerial lifts, and hand tools of all types, and you'll operate motor vehicles. Level 1 pay starts at $24 and up per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We have Levels 1–5, and pay is based on level. What You'll Do Special Hazards Suppression Systems: Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of special hazards engineered suppression systems in accordance with NFPA 11, 12, 12A, 16, 17, 69, 72, 750, 2001, or 2010, as applicableTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve off-normal suppression system conditionsRepair or replace faulty suppression system componentsCorrect and/or modify fire alarm system programming when asked to do soPerform and/or coordinate recharge, hydrotest, and maintenance of suppression agent tanksExplosion Prevention Systems: Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of explosion prevention systems in accordance with NFPA 11, 12, 12A, 16, 17, 69, 72, 750, 2001, or 2010, as applicableTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve off-normal explosion prevention system conditions, and repair or replace faulty system componentsAssist with other aspects of the business as applicable
