Engineer- TX Maintenance

About the role

This Engineering position is part of a team responsible for identifying high voltage transmission maintenance needs throughout the FirstEnergy footprint.

Responsibilities

• Work with operating companies and corporate personnel to generate and maintain a current list of potential transmission projects.
  • Tasks include coordinating circuit inspections, analyzing circuit data, tracking circuit trends and creating new capital projects.
• Support project teams throughout development and execution to ensure both project scope and timelines are met.
  • Lead the underground testing program.
    • This includes coordinating underground line testing with the operating companies as well as coordinating yearly maintenance on existing facilities.
    • Support the operating companies with emergent underground issues.
      • This includes coordinating with external construction contractors as needed.
  • Present projects to upper management for consideration, approval and funding.
  • Carry out technical engineering reviews and develop designs of civil/electrical/mechanical aspects related to transmission line infrastructure.
  • Support the operating companies with emergent underground issues.
