Engineer Technician II - CCSD

About the role

This position supports wholesale supply chain functions, including receiving, examining, determining condition, and verifying/validating a wide variety of complex items and materials for turn-in or removal. The contractor will process items to the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) and perform complex disposal tasks such as reuse, salvage, and demilitarization.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all categories of turn-ins, including Due-In-From-Maintenance (DIFM) and equipment.
• Determine items to be demilitarized and serve as a local authority on demilitarization requirements/actions and precious metal recovery.
• Remove sensitive military components from equipment prior to destruction using small tools (e.g., screwdriver, hammer, chisel, pliers).
• Ensure 100% physical validation/verification of critical information (NSN, quantity, CIC, serial number, classification code, document number) prior to disposal or destruction actions.
• Work in a warehouse setting and perform outdoor duties, including lifting or moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Subject to random drug testing.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding federal holidays and special organizational days.

Location

Various locations at Lackland AFB and Port San Antonio, Texas.
