Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in sourcing markets surveillance and scouting for process plant construction
- Responsible for on-time deliveries at the right quality
- Perform the Procurement Exercises for different Parts
- Responsible for supplier rating and relationship management
- Responsible for Maintaining QMS Documentation
Supplier Management
- Following up with suppliers for machine building and its components
SAP Proficiency
- Maintaining material masters, info records, and vendor master’s within the SAP MM module
- Releasing purchase orders
- Making sure on time Material Receipts and Vendor Payments
Vendor Records
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records
- Ensuring Legal and Statutory Compliances
Commodity Focus
- Pipe manufacturing, welding, machining, fabrication, forging, press parts, plates
- Electrical panels manufacturing, Electrical and electronic components
- Catalogue items like pumps, tools, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic
- Surface Treatment works, blasting, painting
Drawing Interpretation
- Understanding engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Teamwork and Initiative
- Working as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation
Awareness of Environment, Health, Safety and Energy requirements as IMS standards
- Working as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation
Required Qualifications
- Education: Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 4 to 12 years of experience in engineering purchases.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within India
- Industry Experience: Experience working in an engineering company or with project equipment.
- Skills: Proficiency in SAP MM module, MS applications, and knowledge of engineering materials.
- Familiar with ERP, preferably SAP to maintain purchasing data such as vendor records
- Communication: Communication skills necessary to interact in an international context
- Self-motivated and can work on own initiative and as part of a cross-functional team
Good to Have
- Diploma/Graduate/MBA in Materials Management,
- Basic German language knowledge,
- Integrated Management System Auditor certification
- Experience using the Jaggaer supplier platform.
