Engineer - Stormwater & Water Resources

Select examples of duties
- Provides engineering design, management, and review of engineering plans, reports, specifications, and estimates related to both municipal and private stormwater and water resources projects.
- Performs hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling, and mapping using software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS tools.
- Coordinates and manages consultants for the development of engineering plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports.
- Coordinates the construction bid process, reviews bids, and makes necessary recommendations based on lowest and best bids and competency of vendors/contractors.
- Oversees assigned projects to ensure consultant/contractor compliance with time and budget parameters.
- Assists in determining compliance with applicable stormwater and environmental requirements.
- Performs review of state and federal environmental regulations such as NPDES and UIC, best management practices (BMPs), or emerging trends in water resources.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in stormwater and water resources engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with GIS and hydraulic modeling software is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
