Engineer, Sr Staff Fuels / Project Manager
About the role
Performs advanced fuels related problem solving in support of Clean Energy Center (CEC) operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and regulations. Functions with recognized industry-level of expertise in a technical area.
Responsibilities
- Performs advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks in support of CECs
- Performs independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs
- Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement nuclear engineering activities related to CEC safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability ensuring compliance to customer's needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies
- Accurately, completely, and timely prepares and implements engineering products prepared or overseen
- Identifies and resolves equipment and system problems
- Manages engineering issues
- Recommends new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs or comply with changes in codes or regulations
- Supports CEC design modifications, testing and problem solving, as necessary
- Ensures all engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements
- Develops, implements, and coordinates functional supervisory activities including, but not limited to, personnel, budgetary accountabilities and planning goals with respect to Nuclear Fuels personnel
- Performs other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 10 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
Demonstrated technical leadership experience (e.g. duty team, inspection lead, etc.)
Qualifications
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Design Engineering Qualifications (DG01, DG03)
- Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) Qualification or SRO Certification, desired

Pay
Expected salary range of $151,200 to $168,000, varies based on experience.
