Engineer / Sr. Engineer – R&D Proto Development

Responsibilities

• Prepare project timelines according to business requirements.
• Create project list summaries and provide periodic reports to management.
• Coordinate with all teams in the design function to ensure smooth execution of projects and R&D deliverables as per agreed timelines.
• Establish and maintain collaboration with the Strategic team and Marketing & Sales team to ensure timely inputs for design functions.
• Verify design team deliverables regularly and steer projects for proper execution.
• Coordinate with various departments outside R&D to gather necessary inputs for design delivery.
• Manage resources within R&D.
• Track issues and ensure solutions are implemented within the project phase to guarantee final product release.

Requirements

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile, or MBA.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in R&D Project Management.

Skills

• Knowledge of project timeline preparation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Bus and Truck design processes.
• Understanding of design and development processes, including manufacturing.
• Proficiency in project dashboard tools and preparation.
• Expertise in follow-up with all R&D functions to ensure project tasks are executed as per committed timelines.
• Ability to escalate hurdles assertively and in a timely manner.
• Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
• Strong team player comfortable working in plant and field environments.
