Engineer Sr - EMC Test

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluates a product to ensure compliance with customer specifications including applicable industry and regulatory EMC standards.
• Provides EMC test expertise to various product development groups.
• Provides support of the Quality Operating System (QOS) and ISO 17025 accreditation (EMC Laboratory Quality Lead).
• Coordinates/support Internal Audits, Performance History measurements, Risk Assessment, Measurement Uncertainty, Lab 8Ds, Proficiency Testing, Customer Surveys, etc. pertaining to ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Coordinates and supports extensive EMC testing at multiple stages during product development.
• Ensures tests are performed using appropriate equipment and procedures ensuring that all related test documentation, including reports, are accurate and complete.
• Analyzes EMC test data and prepares EMC test reports.
• Develops and writes test procedures and work instructions.
• Identifies continuous improvements of existing test methods and lab processes.
• Trains and mentors EMC Technicians.
• Reviews and analyzes product requirements to design and develop testing artifacts and provides input to product development teams on missing/deficient requirements.
• Manages all testing and interfaces with external laboratories to ensure all tests and their results are executed & reported properly.
• Performs data analysis on test results and presents to the development teams/ customer as required.
• Interfaces with cross functional engineering teams to ensure test requirements are specified and implemented correctly.
• Participates in process action teams as part of the global product engineering development process improvement activity.
• Participates in continuous improvement efforts, research, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to products, processes, and programs.
• Generates and maintains all necessary validation engineering documentation and data to ensure traceability and compliance to company procedures (e.g. Process-work instructions) and applicable standards (e.g. ISO 17025, ISO/TS 16949).
• Performs work assignments as a highly competent engineer, requiring independent design of validation test equipment and validation testing of products.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
