Job Summary
The Engineer, Solutions Architecture role is primarily focused on providing direct technical assistance to the Sales Team with pre-sales opportunities for new & existing clients and providing support for partners in our ecosystem. This individual will help identify, qualify, and close businesses in the region. They are business-oriented, network, security, cloud, product and application experts for IT Solutions’ suite of solutions.
Responsibilities
- Solve technical issues and answer client questions
- Deliver strategic product and service presentations
- Provide post-sales assistance as required to upsell IT Solutions’ capabilities or help remediate client issues
- Deliver internal training
- Coordinate delivery and support within the Managed Services and Client Strategy group
- Participate in Professional Services work
- Identify and document future product, service and application requirements and roadmaps
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
- Maintains the ability to stay organized and be detail-oriented
- Demonstrates a passion for solving problems or helping others and take the initiative in driving continuous improvement/execution excellence
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to self-manage and multi-task effectively and accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time
- Ability to develop strategic client relationships, gain trust, establish credibility and respect for the team
- Demonstrated experience working with large and complex clients
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in the context of a dynamic and growing business
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalence of professional work
- IT Director background would be ideal but not required
- 7+ years in related role in a client-facing technical sales/consulting role
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing consultative relationships with business decision-makers by reinforcing the business value of solutions
