Engineer, Software - Transport Automation and Orchestration

About the role

The Transport Automation & Orchestration team develops software solutions that automate the implementation of Transport Network designs across T-Mobile's nationwide network infrastructure. This role supports the transformation of manual network engineering processes into intelligent, automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using modern software development technologies and practices.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, automation workflows, and supporting application components that enable transport automation initiatives.
• Contribute to application performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 2-4 years of technical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of modern software development technologies and practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment processes, monitoring, and operational support.
• Ability to evaluate and apply new technologies, including automation platforms, AI-assisted development tools, and evolving software engineering practices.
