Position Location

This is a remote position based in Chesapeake, VA.

Job Overview

Chugach is seeking an Engineer/Scientist 1 to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) US Coast Guard (USCG) Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and modify engineering and technical documentation including Project Charters, PMPs, SETRs, ECPs, and Project Risk and Issue Registers.
  • Develop SFLC Engineering Changes-Time Compliance Technical Orders (EC-TCTOs).
  • Attend meetings, provide briefings, and participate in working groups as required by the customer.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to make significant presentations.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, working independently and with other project personnel.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills especially Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Able to be self-motivated.
  • Able to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

Job Requirements

  • Mandatory: U.S. Citizen
  • Mandatory: Master of Science in an Engineering field
  • Mandatory: Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with a "can do" attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.

Physical Requirements

The candidate must be able to work at a desk and computer for long periods of time.
