Job Description

A Quality Engineer provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples. Position Description/General responsibilities include:

  • Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
  • Assist Quality Manager and Supervisor in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Interface with Engineering and Ops to ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with approved data.
  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to internal/external customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Prepare QA weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings and creating audits finding reports, and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.
  • Manage suppliers performance and conduct audits.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: ISO Auditor Mid-Level Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Computer knowledge, functionality, technical interaction of sub-assemblies English as either primary or secondary language Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Working Conditions

  • Able to tolerate noise levels in warehouse environment.
  • Office and outside environmental conditions found in warehouse, hot in summer, cold in winter.
  • May need to walk for extensive period of time while working and walking facilities; able to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below waist; repetitive wrist, hand, finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
