Engineer/Principal Engineer Systems Test (AHT)

Candidates may be hired as an Engineer Systems Test (level 2) or a Principal Engineer Systems Test (level 3) based on their qualifications. This position is part of our Space Sector Eastern Region SEIT Engineering Organization located at Rolling Meadows, IL.
Responsibilities
- Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems.
- Coordinates integrated testing activities.
- Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system-level evaluations.
- Actively maintains a list of calibrated equipment at Rolling Meadows.
- Updates calibration information using NG system of record: TEAMMS.
- Supports sanitizing equipment for egress from closed area labs.
- Coordinates and arranges shipping to internal calibration departments and/or test equipment vendor sites.
- Works with program security to generate transportation plans of sanitized equipment due for calibration.
- Works with Government property to track egress and ingress of equipment during calibration and other special test events.
- Supports up to 25% travel.
Requirements
- Engineer Systems Test: Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related experience; or a Master’s Degree.
- Principal Engineer Systems Test: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience; a Master’s Degree and 2 years of related experience; or a PhD.
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated history of strong organization and coordination skills (working with cross-functional teams).
- Previous experience with material/test equipment management.
- Previous experience with integration and test activities for space hardware.
- Integration and test experience; familiarity with signal generators and spectral analyzers.
- Active TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph is preferred.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
