About the role

The Survivability Engineer will enhance the survivability of defense systems through advanced materials and processes. They will support a diverse portfolio of research and technology development activities, working on a variety of challenging projects, particularly in Radar Cross Section (RCS) Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and integrates advanced technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic spectrum
  • Develops and implements predictive analysis codes; builds and tests physical models; designs, develops, and builds test and verification equipment; and develops, tests, and integrates specialty materials
  • Works closely with engineers of other disciplines to optimize the integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft

Requirements

  • Education: Engineer (LV2) - Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM and 0 years of related engineering experience
  • Principal Engineer (LV3) - Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 years of related engineering experience
  • Experience: Applied electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability; or comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic energy transmission through space and within materials
  • Software: Experience in one or more CAD software solutions such as CATIA, Unigraphics, or NX
  • Other: Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)

  • Experience in one or more CAE and/or FEA tools such as FMS, Patran, Cubit, etc.
  • Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, or other highly technical languages
  • Knowledge and ability with RCS data processing tools such as Knowbell, Saber, or Pioneer

Pay

$101,000.00 - $151,400.00

Schedule

Full-time, on-site at our facility. Travel up to 25% may be required.
