About the Role
The Paint Engineer supports the Paint Department's objectives by managing equipment installations for new model projects and non-model projects. They also lead competitive improvement projects and negotiate project scopes and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up
- Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.
- Lead competitive improvement projects for local production shop
- Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project
- Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field, Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience (3 years)
- Proficient knowledge (intermediate) in MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting)
- 2+ years of experience in high volume automotive Paint manufacturing environment, either in TNA Production Engineering or NAMC PE
- 2+ years of experience with paint equipment installations
- 2+ years of experience with Toyota Quality systems (ICS, PPI, ect)
- 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD or CATIA
- 2+ years of experience with Ringi development
- 2+ years of experience in technical industry
Qualifications
- Knowledge of MS Project
Skills
