Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement flight software algorithms to support guidance, navigation, and control functions for the air vehicle.
Design, develop, and implement simulation software to test and verify mission requirements for the air vehicle.
Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality.
Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation, or trajectory.
Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for air vehicles.
Utilize excellent communication skills to report program milestones, technical approaches, and findings to GNC as well as program management.

Skills

Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project, Visio)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in design, development, and validation of guidance, navigation, and control systems integrating flight critical hardware, software, and algorithms
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
  • Active US Government Secret clearance

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time
