Responsibilities
- Develop electrical wiring designs of a functional system including the selection of aircraft-type conductors and electro-mechanical components such as connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, terminal junction systems, etc. in accordance with AS 50881 and proven commercial practices.
- Support design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems, and circuit protective requirements for aerospace vehicle systems including Electrical Loads Analysis, test procedures, power architectures, reports, analyses, and other vehicle power related deliverables.
- Familiarization with MIL-STD-704 required.
- Responsible for all aspects of system/component design and development including trade studies, layouts, architecture definition, system test & verification, and troubleshooting.
- May participate on a subcontractor management team and will act as the technical point of contact with suppliers for hardware development, qualification, and procurement.
- System level test planning, execution support, verification, data processing, and troubleshooting.
- System level evaluations to verify requirements and ensure airworthiness criteria are met.
Requirements
- Basic qualifications for an Electrical Engineer (Level 2): Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience.
- Basic qualifications for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience.
- Experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance; clearance not required to start employment.
- Must have the ability to obtain any Program Special access required within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Qualifications

Skills
- Experience with military aircraft subsystem development, with requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration and test and verification for advance aircraft.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-704.
- Architecture Design Experience, Aircraft Electrical Power (EPS) Experience, Aircraft Hardware Procurement Knowledge, EPS Integration Knowledge.
Pay
Annual salary range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 for the primary level, and $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 for the secondary level. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may also be available. Employee eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus is determined based on the scope and responsibilities of the position and the employee's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
