About the role
Engineer the modular product across disciplines: structures, enclosures, and MEP integration from concept to released drawings. Solve the integration problems: routing, interfaces, and tolerances where the disciplines collide. Support the factory and field: RFIs answered same-day, fixes engineered into the next revision. Prototype and validate: mockups, fit checks, and first-article reviews you attend in person.
Responsibilities
- Engineer modular products across disciplines (structures, enclosures, MEP integration) from concept to released drawings.
- Solve integration problems involving routing, interfaces, and tolerances where disciplines intersect.
- Support factory and field operations by addressing RFIs same-day and engineering fixes into subsequent revisions.
- Prototype and validate designs through mockups, fit checks, and first-article reviews (attended in person).
Requirements
- Hands-on experience engineering complex physical products or modular construction.
- Ability to work across disciplines instead of siloing problems.
- Proven track record of producing clean, buildable drawings (fabricators rarely need to call for clarifications).
- Experience supporting production launches of your own designs.
- Ability to iterate quickly while maintaining configuration control.
Qualifications
- Structural or MEP depth (bonus).
- Mastery of SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit.
- Experience with sheet metal and steel design.
- Strong Design for Manufacturing (DFM) instincts.
Pay
Compensation Range: $169K - $208K
