About the role
In this role, you will work collaboratively with other engineers to complete projects in assigned areas of the power plant. You’ll drive meaningful change by:
- Assisting in the work on smaller engineering projects or well-defined areas of larger projects.
- Using existing procedures to investigate, evaluate, and assist in producing technically correct and cost-effective designs or recommendations that solve ongoing problems.
- Building relationships that facilitate knowledge transfer, cross-functional awareness of related work groups, and the ability to present work products effectively.
- Working under supervision in the field in a variety of functions in challenging but structured work that develops competencies in the discipline.
- Gathering and correlating basic engineering data using well-defined engineering procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
- Continually expanding and improving your technical and business skill set with your own initiative, with instruction, guidance, and direction from others.
- Assisting in a variety of topics, including developing innovative procedures and improved design recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university in the discipline required by specific role requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op in the energy industry.
- Engineer in Training certificate.
