About the Role

General maintenance of casino indoor and outdoor premises. Works with all departments on an as-needed basis and collaborates with all Engineering personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains operating condition of casino buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs.
  • Applies knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Performs timely repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and other equipment requiring service.
  • Reads meters, gauges, and other testing instruments accurately to detect and identify problems and determine appropriate repair paths.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all repairs and preventive maintenance reports.
  • Performs departmental technical projects, including electrical and mechanical equipment repair.
  • Handles landscaping and sprinkler maintenance.
  • Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs.
  • Reviews Engineering Request Forms to diagnose problems and determine resolutions.
  • Aids in planning casino projects, remodeling, expansions, and monitors jobs completed by outside contractors.
  • Follows safety guidelines and works closely with the Safety Coordinator to ensure adherence to all OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Operates common hand or power tools.
  • Provides excellent guest service to guests and internal clients.
  • Adheres to all Tribal Ordinances, Regulations, ACCRS, SRC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, standard appliances, and devices.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1.5 miles, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work in a "lighting subdued" environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Typically works in an office environment; noise levels are usually moderate but may escalate in the casino environment.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. intermittently.
  • Requires sufficient hand dexterity to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
